What We Discovered
Our search paid off. It enabled us to find a dozen individuals we’ve deemed as “gambling savants” – people who combine high intelligence with the skill it takes to succeed in this endeavor. Over the course of a number of years, we monitored every outlet of sports handicappers. Even these days with the internet, there’s still a ton of work to do hunting down the best, of the best. We monitored YouTube, hundreds of blogs, hundreds of newsletters, scoured every sports gambling message board on the net and many more avenues of interest, and systematically tracked the progress – until a pattern began to emerge: a small portion of those people picking consistent winners.
These were not “claims” – we had the factual data in hand. The years of monitoring those across the ‘net picking winners was beginning to show a significant trend towards a small core group. But there was still more work to do: would that group actually hold together, or was this simply a temporary trend – and not indicative of true consistency and skill.
Soon, much to our dismay that core group dwindled as skill seemed fleeting, and luck ran out. But even still, there was now a handful we couldn’t dismiss. They continued a significant consistency. That continued consistency did not abate in 5 years of our analysis, and these individuals showed continued upward success. These individuals became the focus from that point forward – and another near 2 year period later, they did not deviate from their consistency. After nearly 7 years, we’d honed down the best of the best, and the most consistent winners we’d ever seen. A monumental undertaking was successful, and now, it was time to act.
So, we took the chance and approached these individuals with a plan: Offer each one a vested interest in our company to do something they loved doing – and excelled at. Picking consistent sports winners.
